A Successful Artisan at Christmas Fair

We had a lovely Artisan at Christmas Fair on Sunday. The day started earlier for some than others....... baking delicious cakes & soup for Sue & John, Sophie of Fading Grace travelled from Dorset in the Fog whilst I only had to make it over the hill & arrived later than planned!
The fog eventually lifted and the sun emerged for half an hour at the latter end of the afternoon. The room buzzed.Visitors were not deterred  by the glum weather & we were all kept busy meeting some lovely folk.
John Gustard with his lovely collection of art http://www.johngustard.com/ We are hoping he will be able to run some more workshops with The Artisans in the summer months.

Camelia now has few Christmas decorations left. They are quicker to sell than to source.
Sky Blue... Anne-Marie's knitting is very creative, her vintage items are a delight too. She will be at the Craft Fair at Antrobus Fair, Amesbury on Saturday 26th November.

Jane the English Booklady with her lovely books & kitchenalia etc. I was very tempted with her Culpepper prints but have little wall space left to display them. Her blog is a treat to visit.

Caroline enjoyed her first fair with her handmade jewels.

George Treblinski escaped my camera........... but was behind his with wonderful pictures of wildlife. I am biased because I adore his deer pictures. The images can be seen on his website http://www.imagesbytrebinski.co.uk/

Sue & John's cakes were wonderful & the honey yummy on my porridge this morning.
The next Artisans in the Spring Fair will be on Sunday 18th March 2012 at Middle Woodford village hall & lots of workshops are being planned. We wish you an enjoyable Christmas & winter months in front of a warm fire, candles flickering with family & friends.

Artisan Fairs

The Artisan Fairs were set up by a few friends with similar interests; that of appreciation of the Arts & crafts including lovely books, fabric, making and recycling things, art and inspiring places and people. From this basis The Artisan Fairs were born. Currently held four times a year; one for each season, the Artisan Fairs are in village halls in Wiltshire and bring together a group of friends who are keen to share their interests with others. We try to present lovely things either handmade or chosen with care, because we like them too. We hope that you will join us at the fairs and enjoy our teas and delicious cakes.
